History of Rendleman Orchards and Farmers State Bank

A little history from Ren:
Rendleman Orchards began banking at the Alto Pass branch of Farmers State Bank in 1910 when John Lewis owned the bank.
In the 1940’s Grover Rendleman and soon after his son James Rendleman purchased shares of the bank from the Wilkins and Landreth estates. The Rendleman family had controlling shares of the bank for near 60 years, until selling Farmers State Bank of Alto Pass to Tom Franks in 1994. Farmers State Bank has since flourished into several branches, serving many.
Wayne Rendleman (Ren) Sirles remains honored to serve on the board of Farmers State Bank today.
Rendleman Orchards, soon heading into our sesquicentennial year in business, has continued to bank with Farmers State Bank of Alto Pass for 112 years!
